Hi Friend!
My name is Bethany and I am so glad you are here!
Like most of us, my pre-pandemic life looked a lot different than it does now. I was a professional speaker and emcee in the personal finance space. I loved the busy travel life and was on the road a LOT.
When I got pregnant with my first child, I knew life was going to have to change, but I didn’t quite realize how MUCH it would change. I gave birth to my son in May, 2020 in the peak of lock down. Not only did my speaking career completely dry up (hello social distancing!), but I had to learn to navigate being a brand new mom in those “unprecedented times.” We hear it takes a village, but I felt like I was on a desert island.
Enter art.
During those first few months with a new baby and nowhere to go, I turned to my iPad and Apple Pencil as a form of therapy. I would stay up late drawing and taking tutorials to learn everything I could. I had always been creative, but it felt like a whole new world opened up when I was drawing.
I have come a long way since those late nights and am grateful for those early days of what would become a new business for me. Having come from a place of loneliness in early motherhood, my heart is to provide hope and encouragement to other mamas who feel isolated.
I hope my art, which was once my source of therapy and healing for me, will bring a smile to your face and help you encourage those incredible moms around you.
